Meet Our Team
Zachary Slavens is an associate at Sweeney & Scharkey. His practice focuses on trial and appellate litigation. He has briefed and argued motions on a wide array of issues involving complex commercial disputes. As trial and appellate counsel, Zachary has represented clients in a broad range of controversies involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and shareholder disputes. He has experience litigating cases in both state and federal courts as well as in arbitration.
Zachary was involved in Loyola’s appellate advocacy program and competed in numerous competitions during law school. Based on his excellent oral advocacy, Zachary advanced to the national finals with Loyola’s National Moot Court Competition Team. During law school, Zachary also served as Vice-President of Loyola’s National Security Law Association and as a client advocate at Loyola’s Health Justice Project legal clinic.
